An awareness programme on “Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana” was held at KVK, Barpeta on 31st May, 2016 in its campus at Howly. More than 500 farmers from different parts of the district attended the programme. The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Indira Gogoi Konwar, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Barpeta. An agricultural exhibition was also organised which was inaugurated by Sri Shahadat Hussain, a progressive farmer and national award winner from the locality. On this occasion, 1002 nos. of Soil Health Cards were also distributed to the farmers.
